If you’re dreaming of a white Christmas here in Billings you are going to have to hold on to that dream just a little longer.

Conditions are forecast to stay much the same, with minimal moisture forecast to push into our region and mostly stable, dry conditions at the surface.

This will allow temperatures to stay well above seasonal with forecast highs around the 50 degree mark all week long.

The main forecast point to emphasize this week will continue to be the winds. There was reported gusts up to around 60 mph in the Livingston area earlier today and winds east of the divide will stay brisk over the course of this week with the potential to get back up to warning level criteria as quick hitting waves pass through Tuesday night and again later in the week.

Skies will be partly cloudy all week and conditions will be fairly benign all around.

One thing to highlight that has resulted from the recent conditions, the NWS has issued an informal grass fire warning for south central Montana, as conditions are very dry, warm and the winds will stay up.
