BILLINGS – Strong winds and warmer than average temperatures highlight the midweek weather.
Strong winds will impact much of the area Tuesday and Wednesday. Gusts may exceed 70 mph traveling along I-90 near Livingston both days.
Winds will spread across the eastern plains Wednesday behind a Pacific cold front with potential gusts of 50 mph. Billings will see the winds increase Tuesday afternoon and evening, with gusts continuing Wednesday.
High temperatures will still be running 15 to 20 degrees warmer than seasonal normals, reaching the 40s to mid-50s. Low temperatures will be mainly in the 30s early Wednesday.
Indicators point to cooler but continued dry weather toward the weekend. Hopes for a White Christmas in the lower elevations are slipping.
