BILLINGS- Our cold front moved into the Billings area early Friday morning and has since moved out of the region, leaving us with beautiful sunny blue skies.

Even the temperatures have rebounded nicely after the passage of the cold front. In Billings, we are already into the mid-40s this Friday.

The only issue has been the wind. The winds in Billings and central Montana continue to be elevated thanks to the passage of that cold front.

Some of the wind gust in central Montana this afternoon has been as high as 52 mph.

The Doppler radar showed snow showers in the Beartooths around Red Lodge ski area this morning. They have since moved on and raced out of the state into the Dakotas.

High Wind Warnings remain in Wheatland, Sweet Grass and Golden Valley counties in south-central Montana until 9 p.m.

However, since the cold front has passed, sunny skies continue to build in behind it. Plus we get to keep that sunshine for the rest of Friday and all of Saturday.

However, on Sunday a major weather pattern change begins to move into the state.

It will exchange the warmer, windy and dry pattern we currently have for a colder, windy and snowy pattern for most of next week.
