We are likely sitting through one of the best days of the forecast period here on Saturday, as we have seen temperatures rise behind a push of warmer, moister air and some southwest breezes.

Tomorrow we could see a bit of wintry precipitation early in the day with temperatures dropping a few degrees from today’s highs to around the 40 degree mark.

Monday we again have the chance for some early snowfall as a low pressure system swirls right over top of the region.

Model runs have shifted how they are handling this system recently and I’m leaning towards a solution that takes the system out of the region to east over the course of the day on Monday and limits snow potential for the Billings area in that time period.

The rest of the week is shaping up to be unsettled and wintry with some changing conditions in relatively short time frames. Overall temperatures should be around seasonal with the chance of some additional precipitation in the middle portion of the week.
