BILLINGS – Much of the area will see light snow today, and everybody gets more cold temperatures.

Warmer and moister air will glide over the top of the cold air close to the surface Tuesday. This will create 1 to 3 inches of new powdery snow in areas mainly from Billings to the west and north.

Expect lower amounts over Southeast Montana and northern Wyoming.

Everybody stays cold Tuesday and Wednesday with afternoon highs mainly in the single digits above and below zero. Overnight readings will drop to the single digits and teens below zero.

Additionally, a Wind Chill Advisory remains into effect for all of Eastern Montana and Sheridan County, Wyoming. Wind chills of -15 to -35 will be widespread for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Highs will move up into the teens on Thursday, and Friday looks to be the warmest day the week with 20+ degree readings in much of the region. Right behind that, more cold air drops in for the weekend.
