BILLINGS – A gradual warm-up will continue through the middle of next week.

As a high-pressure ridge builds in and the sun angle becomes a little higher in the sky, temperatures will warm gradually each afternoon. Expect the 40s for the weekend high temperatures, with the 50s by early next week.

Overall conditions will be dry other than a slight risk of higher elevation showers, especially on Monday.

As conditions will warm to above average readings for the first time since mid-February, snow will start to melt at a faster pace. Localized lowland flooding and ice jams are a possibility.

Take precautions against basement flooding, and be aware water could develop on roadways.
