BILLINGS – Today will be the warmest day in the last month and a half.

February 2 was Groundhog Day. Punxsutawney Phil predicted an early spring, and the Billings airport reached 52 degrees.

The next day, snow was flying and 19 was the high for Billings. Temperatures have remained below average every day since.

Expect plenty of sunshine for the next several days. Tuesday afternoon highs will be in the upper 40s to low 50s. The 30-year average high temperature is 50.

Wednesday will reach the mid to upper 50s. And Thursday and Friday are our best chances of reaching 60 for an afternoon high.

Overnight temperatures will be in the 20s and then warm to the 30s.

Above average readings continue into the weekend, with lows in the 30s and highs in the 50s for the lower elevations. But expect increasing clouds, and at least a chance of showers Saturday and Sunday.
