Typical spring weather highlights the first week of April. We start with showers and end up with warming temperatures.

Showers this week are most likely on Monday. A series of disturbances will keep a chance of rain and snow showers going, and even a rumble of afternoon thunder is possible.

The week will start cooler than average with highs in the 40s to low 50s, but end up well into the 60s to around 70 by Thursday and Friday. Overnight temperatures will start in the 20s and low 30s, and warm in the 40s closer to the weekend.

Looking well ahead, a chance of showers could develop again by Saturday.

Billings forecast

Monday… Partly sunny with a 60% chance of showers off and on. A rumble of thunder is possible in the afternoon. High near 51.

Monday night… Mostly cloudy with isolated evening rain and snow showers, and a low in the upper 20s.

Tuesday… Partly sunny with a high of about 51. Light breeze.
