BILLINGS – Increased wildfire dangers for Friday.

Ridging high pressure has moved into the region bringing mostly dry and warmer weather for Good Friday.

Expect daytime highs across eastern Montana and northern Wyoming into the 70s and low 80s.

Low relative humidity values of 20 to 30 percent, coupled with dry conditions and 15 to 25 mph hour winds, create increased wildfire conditions for the area. Please postpone all outdoor burning.

Counties affected by the increased fire concerns include Bighorn, Carter, Fallon, Musselshell, Powder River, Rosebud, Treasure and Yellowstone.

Red Flag Fire Warnings are posted for counties in northeast Montana as well.

A cold front will move through the region Friday night through Saturday bringing cooler temperatures and occasional precipitation through Easter weekend.
