BILLINGS- In the short-term, rain showers coming go. In the long-term, the rain could turn to snow.

Wednesday will be the warmest day most of the area will see for a while. Highs will be mainly in the mid to upper 60s.

Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will develop through the day and evening hours.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday, high temperatures will be mainly in the upper 50s to low 60s with lows mainly in the upper 30s to low 40s. Those are very close to seasonal averages.

Thursday remains dry, while Friday has our best chance of rain showers and thunderstorms.

By Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, afternoon highs will slip to mainly the 40s with lows in the low 30s. That is cold enough to expect some snow mixed in with any overnight precipitation.
