Q2 Weather: Spring storms turn to wintry weather this weekend

BILLINGS- The weekend starts with Spring storms, and ends with a wintry mix.

Temperatures Friday and Saturday will be close to seasonal averages. Highs will be in the upper 50s to low 60s, and lows in the 30s to low 40s.

Friday afternoon and evening, showers and thunderstorms will to spread from West to East across the region. After a break in the showers overnight through Saturday morning, more showers and thunderstorms will develop with gusty winds Saturday night.

Much colder air invades the area on Sunday and sticks around through early next week. Highs Sunday will be mainly in the 40s, and only the 30s to low 40s for highs on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday.

Will Areas of rain and snow showers will develop, with mountain snow at likely at least a rain snow mix for the lower elevations.

Friday… Increasing clouds, was showers and possibly a thunderstorm in the afternoon. A high of about 59. Winds increase northwesterly 5 to 15 mph in the afternoon.

Friday night… Showers and possibly a thunderstorm during the evening, then a chance of a rain shower. Overnight low of about 40.

Saturday… Mostly sunny early, with a chance of a shower thunderstorm increasing during the afternoon and evening. High near 63.
