BILLINGS – We turn around from our winter weather to more spring-like conditions.

Expect a rain/snow mix in areas of Eastern Montana especially early Wednesday. As Tuesday’s snow showers exit Montana through Wyoming and the Dakotas, the rest of the area will be mainly dry and somewhat warmer.

High temperatures will be mainly into the 40s to low 50s Wednesday, with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Winds will be light and variable.

Thursday starts off mainly in the upper 20s to mid-30s, and warms to the upper 50s to about 60. A disturbance late Thursday brings a chance of showers or isolated thunderstorms.

Friday will be the warmest day of the short-term, as highs will reach the mid to upper 60s. Clouds will increase later in the afternoon.

Weekend highs will be mainly in the 60s, with a chance of afternoon or evening showers both Saturday and Sunday.

Billings forecast

Wednesday… Decreasing clouds with sunshine for the afternoon. A light invariable wind. High of about 51.

Wednesday night… Partly cloudy with a low near 36. Southerly breeze 5 to 15 mph.

Thursday… Partly sunny with a high near 59. A 30% chance of an afternoon or evening shower or isolated thunderstorm.
