BILLINGS- Cloudy skies and a few sprinkles and temps in the 60s are on tap for Billings Friday.

So far, all we’ve seen is a little rain falling out of the sky and evaporating before it makes it to the ground.

However, a little farther to the north, the raindrops seem to be more concentrated from Great Falls to Glasgow.

This is our next cold front dropping down from Canada, and it’s forecast to move into the Billings area Friday night and produce scattered rain showers.

This cold front is forecast to just keep on trucking right towards South Dakota and will probably take a lot of the rain showers with it.

In fact, we expect the rain to dry up in the Billings area after 6 a.m. Saturday.

Once this cold front clears the state, it’ll throw the door wide open for new warm front to sweep in from the west and really start cooking things up just in time for Mother’s Day.

In fact, we expect the temps to pop up into the 80s on Sunday and then stick around in the 80s for Monday.

After that, we see the temps roll back into the mid-to upper 70s on Tuesday through Thursday of next week.

In the meantime, it looks like even if we do see rain overnight Friday, we don’t see any impact on the Montana Women’s Run on Saturday morning.
