Q2 Weather: Warmer and drier after today

BILLINGS – Breezy, cool, and showers and thunderstorms Tuesday. Then summer arrives.

Precipitation will taper off from west to east during the afternoon and evening hours. Expect highs only in the upper 60s to mid-70s Tuesday, with area rain showers and thunderstorms.

The chance of strong to severe storms is low, but storms could produce wind and small hail.

A high-pressure ridge will build in Tuesday night through Wednesday for warmer and drier conditions.

High temperatures will move up to the 80s consistently in a few low 90s through the rest of the weekend heading into the weekend. Overnight lows will be mainly in the 50s to low 60s.

Generally dry conditions, with isolated afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms through early next week.

Tuesday… Showers and thunderstorms in the area, with a high of about 74. Northwest wind 10 to 20 mph.

Tuesday night… Showers ending from West to East. Around 54 for the low.

Wednesday… Sunny to mostly sunny and dry. Near 87 for the high.
