Q2 Weather: Summer pattern grabs a tight hold

BILLINGS – We are falling into a much more summertime pattern that is going to stick around for a while.

High temperatures most days between Thursday and the middle of next week will be in the middle to upper 80s, with some days reaching into the 90s. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms each day.

Isolated and scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop around the mountains and foothills today, and spread out into the plains to around Billings by this evening.

Friday will be a little more active, with some of the storms producing heavy rain and wind.

The warmest days appear to be Saturday and Sunday, with high temperatures road as the upper 80s to mid-90s and lows in the mid to lower 60s for the lower elevations.

Billings forecast:

Thursday… Sunny to mostly sunny with a high near 90. Variable breeze 5 to 15 mph.

Thursday night… Isolated evening showers or thunderstorms, otherwise partly to mostly clear with a low around 62.

Friday… Sunny to mostly sunny with a high in the neighborhood of 91. Isolated afternoon and evening storms.
