...WINTER STORM WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
TUESDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 6 and
12 inches possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central and south central Montana.
* WHEN...From late tonight through Tuesday morning.
* IMPACTS...Hazardous travel conditions with slick, snow covered
roads and poor visibility can be expected. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.
Dangerously cold temperatures are also forecast for Monday and
Tuesday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snowfall is expected from Sunday
afternoon through late Monday afternoon, along and 50 miles either
side of a Harlowton to Billings to Lodge Grass line.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Persons should consider delaying travel during this period. If
travel is absolutely necessary, be prepared for extremely difficult
winter conditions. Consider taking a winter storm kit along with
you, including such items as tire chains, booster cables,
flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing. Also take water, a
first aid kit, and anything else that would help you survive in case
