BILLINGS — Just as quickly as the wintry snow and cold arrived, we return to late summer/early fall weather.
Unofficially, record cold temperatures were set early Wednesday in several locations in southern Montana and northern Wyoming.
It will be dry through early next week over much of the region. High temperatures will range from the 60s Wednesday afternoon to the 80s to low 90s by Sunday and Monday.
Expect dry and mainly clear conditions through the weekend and into early next week. A cut off low moving into the central plains will spend some clouds and perhaps some light showers into southeastern Montana Thursday night through Friday.
Billings forecast:
Wednesday… Sunny and warm ring with a high near 68. Light Southwest wind.
Wednesday night… Clear to mostly clear with a low near 41. Light invariable breeze in the evening.
Thursday… Sunny with a high near 72.
