BILLINGS — Thursday and Friday are the hot days. For now.
A high-pressure ridge brings sunny and hot conditions with low humidity for Thursday and Friday. High temperatures will be mainly into the upper 80s to upper 90s both days.
Isolated and mainly dry thunderstorms could roll off the mountain foothills around Livingston, Harlowton, and Ryegate this evening and late-night hours. Lows stay warm, slipping to the 50s and 60s.
After another day in the upper 80s and 90s on Friday, a cold front will bring wind gust to around 40 miles an hour through the afternoon in the mountain foothills and 20 to 30 miles an hour across the plains. There’s a better chance of isolated thunderstorms Friday evening.
A bit cooler temperatures are expected Saturday, Sunday and Monday with a highs in the 80s. Overnight temperatures will stay in the 50s and 60s.
With a hot and dry conditions coupled with the gusty winds Friday, there are some fire weather concerns around the area.

Friday… Mostly sunny and hot with a high close to 95. Isolated showers and thunderstorms late in the afternoon and evening.
