Q2 Billings Area Weather: A stretch of warm and dry weather

BILLINGS — Expect afternoon sunshine through the weekend with some wind with the warming temperatures.

Wednesday will be the coolest day in the short-term with afternoon highs in the 30s to low 40s. The sun will shine through the afternoon with a light westerly wind increasing in the mountain foothills by the evening.

Overnight temperatures drop to the 20s by early Thursday, with high temperatures mainly in the 40s. It is another sunny afternoon with a bit more wind 15 to 25 mph.

For the lower elevations, highs will stay mainly into the mid to lower 50s from Friday through likely next Tuesday and lows will be in the 20s to low 30s. Other than periods of wind gusts, the weather pattern stays dry and mild.

Current indications are colder weather will arrive somewhere around Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. Highs will drop to the 30s, and at least some snow showers could be expected. Check back for updates.

Thursday… Sunny but breezy with a high close to 48. Westerly wind of 5 to 15 mph.
