BILLINGS — Good morning!
I trust everybody had a relaxing weekend, but back at it we go.
We can expect sunny and dry conditions today as high pressure sets up shop briefly, but we do have another blast of energy coming out of the west that will push in rain showers/mix on Tuesday. This cold front is rather quick moving, so it will move out of the area fast enough to where we can enjoy a sunny day on Wednesday before another system moves in, bringing a chance for precipitation on Thursday. This could be in the form of snow for Billings, but the jury is still out on that. We’ll keep a close watch.
Winds will pick up behind the passing of that frontal boundary on Tuesday with gusts around 50 mph possible along the foothills and between 30 to 35 mph across lower elevations. These winds should slack off as we get into Tuesday evening.
Highs and lows will remain above normal through Thursday before we see a cooling trend heading into the weekend. This will try to get our temperatures, both daytime highs and nighttime lows, back to around seasonal starting Friday.
Keep smiling!
