BILLINGS — We escape wintry weather this week with a return to fall.
Expect a mix of clouds and sun through the week. While winds will continue in the Beartooth and Absaroka foothills, they will not be as gusty as they have been.
Highs Monday will be mostly 40s, with 50s on deck for Tuesday. Some areas will reach the low 60s Tuesday and Wednesday.
A series of disturbances bring a chance of mainly light mountain snow, especially Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures will cool back to the 40s during the day by Friday with lows in the 20s and 30s. Those are typical for mid-November.
While it is too early for guarantees, the overall dry pattern looks good for travel leading up to Thanksgiving.
Billings forecast:
Monday… Partly sunny with a high of about 47. Variable breeze 5 to 15 mph.
Monday night… Partly cloudy with an easterly breeze. Low near 31.
Turkey Tuesday… Around 58 and partly sunny. Southwest wind 10 to 20 mph.
