BILLINGS — There are changes each day the weekend, but Friday looks the most comfortable.
With plenty of afternoon sun and a light wind, Friday will be pleasant with highs ranging from the mid-70s in the mountain foothills to the mid-80s in the Eastern plains. Temperatures will be close to the 30-year average for late August.
After a cool overnight with lows mainly in the upper 40s to mid 50s, temperatures take off on Saturday with plenty of sun. Highs will push into the upper 80s in the mountain foothills West of Billings to the 90s into the Eastern plains.
A cold front moves through the area overnight Saturday/Sunday. Strong winds are expected with showers and thunderstorms along in behind the front. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms by Sunday afternoon with a highs only in the 60s.
Monday remains cool with highs again in the 60s. A warming trend will follow with readings moving into the 70s to 80s in the afternoons for the rest of the week.

Friday… Sunny and pleasant with a high near 82. Light variable breeze.
Friday night… Clear to mostly clear with a low of about 55.
Saturday… A few afternoon clouds, otherwise sunshine with highs in the low 90s.
