BILLINGS — Good morning!
An area of low pressure coming out of the Pacific, armed with a slug of moisture and interacting with colder air, will start to kick up snow showers in western Montana and northwestern Wyoming by this afternoon. The chance for snow moves into central and southern Montana and northern Wyoming by this evening. The main areas that will see a better shot of accumulation will be west and south of Billings with half-1.5" possible, between 3-6” in higher elevations. Billings could receive around half an inch. Roads could be slick during the Friday morning commute especially west and south of Billings where visibility may also be an issue.
Mainly dry conditions return Friday into Monday although light snow could fall in areas south of Billings on Saturday. A quick shot of energy moving in from the west brings more chances for snow on Tuesday.
Temperatures will cool down with highs in the 20s and 30s and lows mainly in the teens and single digits through the weekend.
Keep smiling!
