BILLINGS — Some ups and downs in temperatures the next few days, and the winds will come and go. But by the weekend, it is all about colder temperatures and a chance of snow.
For Tuesday, and overall low in the weather pattern with highs mainly in the 60s with increasing afternoon clouds. Winds will be strong in the mountain foothills and spread into the plains late today into tomorrow.
Winds become strong tonight, with gusts around Billings up to 40 mph. By Wednesday, gusts will be 40 to 50 mph with a mix of clouds and sun. Highs Wednesday will be mainly in the 50s.
Thursday’s breezy with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s, and temperatures increase ahead of our next weather system to the 60s on Friday. But winds also increase Friday afternoon with more strong gusts likely.
The weekend looks much colder in unsettled. Details are still unclear but expect the coldest air so far this season with a chance of accumulating snow. Check back for details.

Tuesday night… Mostly cloudy with late evening showers. Low around 47. Winds increase to 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph possible.
Wednesday… A chance of rain early, then scattered showers with a mix of clouds and sun. Continued windy with gusts around 50 mph.
