BILLINGS — TGIF!
We could still experience some gusty winds today, but they shouldn't be on the level of yesterday. Maybe a few shots of 30 mph in Billings. Livingston to Nye and Big Timber to Harlowton could still feel gusts up to 50 mph, though. A cold front pushing through will quickly shut those winds down by tonight if not before.
A chance for rain/snow begins after 2 pm as that front passes through with a better chance of seeing more widespread snow showers tomorrow. Models are still a little finicky on just how much snow we could get here in Billings. If there is a strong enough push of upslope flow, moderate snowfall is possible along the foothills. Depending on the strength and distance of downslope flow, that moderate snowfall could push into Billings. A half inch to 1.5" (maybe 2") on Saturday looks like a decent bet at this point. Again, those numbers could change. A ridge of high pressure sets in on Sunday and should keep us mainly dry through at least the middle part of next week.
Billings: Mostly cloudy and breezy with some afternoon clearing. Highs in the low 40s. Low 20s tonight with a slight chance for light snow. Mostly cloudy on Saturday with snow showers. Highs in the low 30s. Mostly sunny and breezy to windy on Sunday with highs around 40. Mid 40s on Monday.
Sheridan: Partly cloudy with highs in the upper 30s today. Slight chance for snow tonight with lows in the in the mid teens. Mostly cloudy with snow showers on Saturday. A few inches possible. Highs in the upper 20s.
Keep smiling!
