Q2 Billings Area Weather: From mountain snow to nearly 90 this week

BILLINGS — This week is going to give us a wide variety of conditions.

Monday will be cool and breezy with a good chance of showers. Westerly winds could gust to around 40 mph both Monday and Tuesday.

Accumulating snow is expected above 6,500 feet Monday, and the lower elevations will see some isolated thunderstorms that could produce small hail.

Tuesday will be sunny and dry but continued breezy. Highs will be mainly in the 50s to mid 60s Monday and mainly the 60s on Tuesday.

Dry and warmer conditions will move in for the rest of the week with highs approaching 90° by Friday.

Billings forecast:

Monday… Patchy morning fog with the chance of showers were thunderstorm in the afternoon. Otherwise a mix of clouds and sun and a high near 63. Breezy at times with a westerly wind 10 to 20 mph.

Monday night… A chance of evening showers otherwise clearing overnight. Low near 45. West wind 10 to 20 mph.

Tuesday… Mostly sunny with a slight chance of afternoon showers. High about 69. West to Northwest wind 15 to 25 mph with occasional stronger gusts.
