BILLINGS — Typical spring conditions mean fluctuations in the temperatures, and showers and thunderstorms become more common through the weekend.
A few stray showers and thunderstorms continue especially from Billings to the south again for Thursday. High temperatures will be mainly in the 70s for some 80s through northern Wyoming in the Eastern Plains.
Isolated stronger storms are possible especially in southeastern Montana on Thursday afternoon and evening. Stronger storms are most likely from Billings to the west for the later hours of the day on Friday.
High temperatures will move up into the mid to upper 80s for Friday and Saturday. By late Saturday, a strong weather system brings an increasing chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Strong to severe storms are possible from Billings to the east by late Saturday, with showers and thunderstorms continuing on Sunday. Saturday’s highs will be in the 80s, cooling to the 70s on Saturday with widespread rain.
Monday, much of the area will not make it out of the 50s.

Thursday… A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 77. Calm wind becoming northwest 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.
Thursday night… Partly cloudy, with a low around 53. Northerly wind 5 to 10 mph becomes calm after midnight.
Friday… Sunny, with a high near 85. Light and variable wind becoming east 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
