BILLINGS — Hot and dry conditions Wednesday, with scattered storms to follow in a very summer-like weather pattern.

High temperatures Wednesday will range from the low 90s in the mountain foothills to the low 100s in the eastern plains. Humidity values will drop mainly to the teens this afternoon with plenty of sunshine early.

A few thunderstorms producing mainly wind could develop by Wednesday evening, with a slightly better chance of storms late Thursday. There will be about a 20 to 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms each day through the weekend.

High temperatures will be mainly mid-80s to mid 90s Thursday through early next week with overnight temperatures in the 50s to low 60s. The humidity will remain low.

Strong winds around thunderstorms and low humidity will increase wildfire risk heading into next week. With continued hot temperatures, stay hydrated and apply sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher.

Wednesday… Sunny and hot with a high near 100. Light variable breeze.

Wednesday night… Increasing clouds with a low close to 71. Areas thunderstorms could produce wind gusts.
