BILLINGS — Snow makes for a slick start Thursday morning.

Fresh overnight snow is affecting what commute traffic there is right now with slick roads and some visibility problems. Snow showers will fade southward through the morning.

Below normal temperatures in the 30s to mid-40s will linger one more day with a northerly breeze and the fresh snow to tamp down any ideas of a warm up. Clouds decrease through the afternoon.

Near normal temperatures Friday with morning lows in the teens and 20s but recovering to the 50s for the lower elevations by the afternoon. Expect a mix of clouds and sun.

A system works through the area Saturday, scattering a few rain and snow shower. High temperatures retreat to the 40s to low 50s.

A warm up kicks in Sunday with highs in the 60s through the middle of next week.

Billings forecast:

Thursday… Morning show showers turn into a partly cloudy afternoon. High near 39. Northerly breeze.

Thursday night… Mostly clear with a low of about 26.

Friday… Westerly wind 15 to 25 mph. Sunny to mostly sunny with a high near 58.
