BILLINGS — It may be a new month, but the weather pattern from September continues.
Expect sunny to mostly sunny afternoons with above average afternoon temperatures well into next week with cooler mostly clear mornings. Little chance for measurable precipitation exists across the area.
High temperatures Thursday will be in the upper 60s to low 70s from Billings to the west and south, but cooler with 50s and 60s in Eastern Montana. Winds could be breezy at times and mountain foothills.
Friday starts a little warmer with lows mainly in the 40s. Clouds will increase Thursday afternoon and evening, then decreasing during the day on Friday. Highs will reach mainly the mid-60s to mid 70s Friday afternoon.
A weak cold front produces some wind and knocks temperatures back to the 60s for the highs Saturday, but with a sunny afternoon. From Sunday through at least the middle of next week, highs will hit the 70s routinely with a few low 80s here and there. Sunny and dry conditions will persist.
