Staying Warmer than Normal Today

BILLINGS — Good morning!

We could see a few showers, maybe a rain/snow mix, as we wake up this morning, but most of the area should stay dry. As a cold front works its way through, winds will start to increase as the sunshine returns this afternoon.

Sustained winds between 20 and 30 mph with gusts close to 40 mph are possible. Those winds will start taper off as we get into the overnight. It will be much cooler when we wake up in the morning as a result of the cold front with temperatures getting down into the mid 20s here in Billings.

For Wednesday, looking at mostly sunny skies and breezy conditions as we prepare for yet another front coming out of the West. This will change our fortunes on Thursday as we’ll have a better chance of seeing rain/snow late in the afternoon into the evening/overnight.

Little to no accumulation is expected. This cold front will be stronger in terms of its effect on our temperatures. Highs and lows have been well above average over the last several days, but this will change as temperatures chill Friday through the weekend with highs in the 30s and overnight lows in the teens and 20s. Even though it will be colder, we should enjoy lots of sunshine this weekend.

Keep smiling!
