BILLINGS — Good morning.

Very frigid air continues to dig into the area meaning record breaking cold temperatures are quite possible through the weekend. Daytime highs in Billings will not get above zero through Saturday with double-digit below zero afternoon temperatures possible over the next few days.

Nighttime lows could dip down to over 20 below beginning tonight, but there does remain some question about that. If we see ample cloud cover overnight then temperatures won't get quite as cold. If we do see breaks in the clouds, that will allow for a chance at much colder temperatures. This could mean a 10-15 degrees difference over the next few nights. So, pray for clouds!

A warming trend begins the latter part of the weekend as we finally get above zero by Sunday afternoon although highs will stay in the single digits. By Monday, daytime highs will attempt to climb into the teens, and then the 20s on Tuesday.

In terms of snow, flurries are possible today with a better chance for snow tonight into Thursday morning as we anticipate an upper jet bringing enough moisture back into play. Could even see a few inches of snowfall especially along the foothills.

Keep smiling!
