BILLINGS — Strong to severe storms could develop east of Billings through the afternoon and evening with the potential for damaging winds and hail.

Dewpoints are high, indicating a lot of available moisture. With the heat of the day and good lift in the atmosphere, all the ingredients for damaging storms are present.
Cooler weather with scattered showers Thursday with highs in the 60s. Only 50s to low 60s by Saturday with rain showers likely.
