BILLINGS — Get the yard rakes out during the week, because the weekend looks more like snow shovel weather.
A high-pressure Ridge will bring mainly sunny skies, well above average temperatures, and breezy conditions. The strongest winds, as typical, will be from Billings westward closer to the mountain foothills.
High temperatures through Thursday will be mainly in the 60s to low 70s, with lows in the upper 30s to mid 40s.
Current timing would show Friday is a transition day into cooler weather. Changes come over the weekend with temperatures dropping to the 20s with rain switching to snow Friday through Saturday.
Snow should end Sunday, the cold air will persist into early next week. Cooler than average temperatures in unsettled weather look to continue well into November.
