Q2 Billings Area Weather: Snow returns to the forecast

BILLINGS — More winter like weather continues to develop.

Temperatures will stay closer to average for this time of the year, hitting mainly the mid to lower 30s for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The best chance of snow in southern Montana northern Wyoming will be Friday night through Saturday morning.

Clouds increase around the area Friday, with a chance of snow by the late evening through early Saturday. Accumulations will generally be light with up to 2 inches possible with pockets of 3 inches.

Temperatures will be into the teens to low 20s early Saturday, with a chance of snow decreasing through the morning. Expect the mostly sunny afternoon with a high in the mid to lower 30s.

Temperatures will warm slightly by the middle of next week with a slight chance of showers on Monday and stronger winds by midweek.

Friday… Cloudy to mostly cloudy with a high near 35. 35. Light Northeast wind.

Friday night… Cloudy with area snow showers and a low close to 23.

Saturday… Cloudy with a chance of snow early and mostly sunny by the afternoon. Chilly with a high of about 31.
