BILLINGS — A system coming out of the west is spraying snow showers across the viewing area this morning. The snow could linger through the afternoon and into tomorrow morning as another quick blast of energy aims to roll through. As it stands right now, our best chance to see the bulk of any accumulation will be this morning, so roads may be slick during your morning commute. Totals could range between 1 to 2” with the best shot of seeing the higher end of that accumulation west south of Billings.
Thursday looks to stay dry before another system pushes through Friday bringing more snow mainly to the western and southern part of Montana down into Wyoming Friday and Saturday.
The warming trend will continue for our area, getting into the 20s for highs through Thursday with our chance to finally break the freezing mark by Friday. Overnight lows this week will be in the teens and 20s with the exception of Wednesday night as a quick blast of colder air will drop temperatures down into the single digits.
A quick sneak peek at the weekend shows good potential for strong, gusty winds by Sunday. We'll get a better handle on this possibility as we get into the latter part of the week.
Keep smiling,
