Q2 Billings Area Weather: The trend is warmer

BILLINGS — Fairly typical conditions for the next few days, with a serious warm-up for the weekend.

Tuesday’s high temperatures will be just below average for this time of year, reaching mainly the 60s in southern Montana and northern Wyoming. Expect a bit of a breeze especially in the mountain foothills, with afternoon isolated thunderstorms that could produce small hail.

Mostly clear and mainly the 40s overnight.

Wednesday will be sunny, breezy and mainly dry. High temperatures warm mainly to the 70s, close to the 30 year average. Isolated afternoon mountain showers and thunderstorms are expected.

For the rest of the work week, dry and warm conditions are expected for the highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s by Friday and Saturday.

Tuesday… A chance of a morning shower otherwise sunny to mostly sunny. A high of about 68. Westerly wind 15 to 25 miles an hour in the afternoon.

Tuesday night… Gradual clearing with a low near 50. Light westerly wind.

Wednesday… Sunny to mostly sunny with a high close to 74. Northwest breeze 5 to 15 mph.
