BILLINGS — Summertime temperatures along with afternoon and evening thunderstorms highlight the weekend weather.
At or warmer than seasonal averages mainly hitting the 80s to mid 90s across southern Montana northern Wyoming Friday through at least Monday. Overnight temperatures of be mainly in the 50s and 60s.
Some afternoon and evening thunderstorms could produce large hail and strong winds. The most favored areas from Billings to the East on Friday evening with isolated storms possible for Independence Day.
This pattern could continue well into next week.

Friday night… A light chance of evening showers or thunderstorms with some clearing overnight. Low near 58.
Independence Day… Mainly sunny and very warm with a high around 89. Afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms are possible increasing through the evening.
