BILLINGS — Wind highlights the weather Tuesday, especially early in the day. But more fall-like conditions are ahead.
Strong winds will continue to blow down the east mountain slopes today. From Big Timber to Harlowton, wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph are possible.
There will be some visibility concerns especially early Tuesday with blowing snow. As temperatures warm and the snow crusts over, conditions will improve.
Highs Tuesday will be mainly in the mid 30s to lower 40s, and a warming trend continues Wednesday with highs mainly in the mid to lower 40s. Overnight temperatures fall mainly to 25 to 30 degrees.
Drying and warming conditions will follow with highs edging up from the 40s to low 50s by the end of the work week is the snow disappears. Lows will be in the 20s to mid 30s.

Tuesday… Sunshine with patchy blowing snow in the morning. Westerly wind 15 to 25 mph with a high of about 39.
Tuesday night… Around 29 for the low. Partly cloudy with windy periods through the evening.
Wednesday… Mostly sunny with a high of about 42.
