BILLINGS — Wind and showers highlight our weather for now.

Gusty westerly winds will produce widespread gusts of 40 to 50 mph. Gusts up to 60 mph will develop in the mountain foothills from Livingston, Nye, Big Timber to Harlowton.

Gusty crosswinds will make travel difficult for high-profile vehicles. Winds will ease up Tuesday, and redevelop Wednesday.

Temperatures will hit mainly the mid-to-lower 60s Monday and Tuesday for highs will lows mainly in the 40s. Expect a mix of clouds and sun with scattered rain shows for the lower elevations and mountain snow.

Midweek, highs cool to mainly the 40s and 50s.

Billings forecast:

Monday… Partly to mostly sunny with scattered showers or sprinkles especially in the morning. Winds increase to 25-35 mph in the afternoon with gusts to 50 mph. Highs near 66.

Monday night… Partly cloudy with a low of about 42.

Tuesday…. Partly sunny with a chance of afternoon showers. Westerly wind 5-15 mph increasing in the evening.
