Q2 Billings Area Weather: Wind, rain & snow highlights come and go

BILLINGS — Periods of wind and showers highlight the weather the next few days, with rain and snow showers and colder temperatures for the weekend.

Wednesday afternoon highs will be mainly in the upper 40s to mid-50s with a mix of clouds and sun. Strong wind gusts can be expected around the area up to 65 mph in the mountain foothills.

After chilly start in the 30s early Thursday, highs warm to the 40s to around 50. Rain and snow showers with some wet snow accumulation in the high hills overnight.

Friday looks breezy but warmer with highs in the 50s to around 60.

Rain and snow showers move in Friday night through Saturday. Some snow accumulation is expected. Highs will be mainly in the mid-30s to low 40s Saturday and Sunday.

Billings forecast:

Wednesday… Winds could gust his high as 60 mph. Increasing clouds with a high near 55.

Wednesday night… Evening rain showers and then a rain snow mix overnight with little or no snow accumulation. Mostly cloudy with a low it around 35.

Thursday… A mix of clouds and sun with scattered area rain showers. Some snow could be in the mix during the morning. Breezy with a high close to 49.
