BILLINGS — The Memorial Day weekend starts with areas of rain and snow showers, and hence with warm and dry conditions.
Clouds will increase from West to East across the region Friday, with an increasing chance of showers coming off the mountains with isolated thunderstorms to the afternoon and evening. High temperatures will be in the 60s closer to Billings in the mountain foothills, with the 70s to even some low 80s in Eastern Montana extending into North Dakota.
Rain showers are likely overnight with higher elevation snow above 7000 feet. Lows will be mainly in the upper 30s and 40s with daytime highs Saturday in the 50s and some 60s in Eastern Montana. Rain showers will be widespread.
Showers will likely linger through Sunday morning and much of south-central Montana northern Wyoming, but drier air for the afternoon. Highs will be in the 50s to mid 60s.
By Memorial Day, highs will be hitting the mid to lower 70s and could be close to 80 Tuesday and Wednesday.

Friday night… Rain showers likely with a chance of thunderstorms during the evening. Low near 47.
Saturday… Showers likely with clouds with a high around 52.
