BILLINGS — No big surprise that wind highlights the weekend weather.

Other than a few rain/snow showers in northeast Montana on Thursday, conditions remain mainly dry. Winds will be strong at times, especially in the mountain foothills West of Billings.

Thursday will be the windiest overall, with gusts to around 40 mph in the Eastern plains.

Expect a mix of clouds and sun with highs mainly in the 40s to low 50s through Monday. Overnight temperatures in Eastern Montana and northern Wyoming will range from the upper teens to low 30s.

The overall Outlook for Eastern Montana northern Wyoming for the first week of December is for slightly warmer than average temperatures and trending drier than average.

Thanksgiving… Mostly sunny with periods of wind. Westerly wind 15 to 25 miles an hour with gusts to around 40 possible during the afternoon and evening. High near 44.

Thursday night… Partly to mostly clear with a low around 29. Breezy periods through the evening.

friday… Generally sunny with a high of about 49. Breezy, with winds 15 to 25 mph.
