BILLINGS — A one – two punch brings cooler temperatures and a few showers through midweek.
Highs will climb back into the upper 40s to low 50s Monday afternoon, but wind along the foothills west of Billings will continue to gust. Top winds of 50+ mph around Livingston will spread toward Big Timber and Harlowton Monday night through Tuesday.
A chance of snow develops into the mountains west of Billings by Monday night. Lows drop to the upper 20s and 30s for a mild start Tuesday.
A second disturbance brings a chance of light snow into south-central and southeastern Montana Tuesday and Tuesday night. Highs will stay in the 30s to low 40s Tuesday, and mainly the 30s on Wednesday.
Dry conditions and above normal temperatures return starting Thursday and last through the weekend.
Billings forecast:
Monday… Sunshine with a high near 51. Southwest wind 10 to 20 miles an hour with occasional gusts.
Monday night… Mostly cloudy with a low close to 33. West wind increases 15 to 25 mph.
Tuesday… Cloudy early with gradual clearing and a high of about 40. Northwest wind 15 to 25 mph.
