BILLINGS — Temperatures close to seasonal averages for Thursday, but a big warm-up still on track for the weekend.
Highs will be in the upper 60s to low 70s across southern Montana and northern Wyoming today, close to the 30-year average. A few overnight and morning sprinkles will turn into a partly to mostly sunny afternoon.
Highs moved to the 70s to low 80s Friday afternoon. Areas from Billings to the west could see a few isolated thunderstorms by Friday afternoon and evening.
Storms closer the mountain foothills could have pockets of heavy rain, and there is some potential for hail.
Highs on Friday will be in the 70s to low 80s, warming mainly to the 80s on Saturday. By Sunday, highs will move into the upper 80s to mid-90s. With the hotter temperatures, the chance of an afternoon or evening thunderstorm will increase.

Thursday… Mostly sunny with a high near 71. Light East breeze.
Thursday night… Partly to mostly clear with a low at around 50.
Friday… Partly to mostly sunny with temperatures climbing to about 80.
