BILLINGS — More snow showers ahead.
Sunday’s snowfall left 1 to 3 inches of wet snow across the plains of south central and southeast Montana and northern Wyoming.
Afternoon highs were quite a bit colder than Saturday in the wake of an overnight cold front that passed through the region.
It will be mostly dry Sunday evening and overnight, but overnight temps will be cold enough to freeze any roads that haven’t dried off the precipitation that fell during the day.
After a mild and mostly dry day Monday, another disturbance will likely bring a bit more snow to the region by Monday night.
