Q2 Weather: A breakdown of changes through the weekend

BILLINGS — Showers and wind come and go as temperatures trend warmer through Saturday.

As rain and snow showers exit Thursday morning, expect a mix of cloud sun through the rest of the day. A weak ripple will bring a few isolated showers to the afternoon to southern Montana. A few mountain showers are expected Thursday night through Friday morning.

Wind gusts of 45 mph or stronger will develop in the mountain foothills west of Billings on Thursday and continue off-and-on through Friday. Some of the wind will spread across the eastern plains at 15 to 25 mph Thursday but back off a bit Friday.

Highs Thursday will reach mainly the 40s, with lows mainly in the 20s. Friday will trend warmer, with highs mainly 45 to 55. A few upper 50s could pop up.

Saturday will be the warmest day, with much of the area reaching upper 40s to 50s.

Starting Sunday, temperatures slip mainly in the 40s, light showers will come and go, and winds remain brisk.

Thursday… Mostly to partly sunny but an isolated shower is possible. High of about 48.
Southwest wind 15 to 25 mph.

Thursday night… Mostly clear with a low near 30. Southwest wind 10 to 20 mph.

Friday… Sunny and around 54 for the high. Westerly 5-15 mph.
