BILLINGS — The overall theme is mild temperatures. But the highlights are snow and some wind.
High temperatures Tuesday will hit the mid 30s in northeastern Montana with 40s and low 50s across the rest of Eastern Montana and Northern Wyoming. Highs will stay above seasonal averages with most of the area reaching the 40s and low 50s by the weekend.
Overnight temperatures for the lower elevations will be in the 20s and 30s.
Snow will impact the west facing slopes of the mountains west of Billings on Tuesday with more 30 to 40 mph wind gusts in the Livingston/Nye/Big Timber areas. Winds will continue off-and-on, and perhaps be the strongest Friday night through Saturday night.
A Pacific system moves west-to-east Tuesday night through Wednesday, it bring a chance of mainly light snow showers or a rain/snow mix to the lower elevations. Some places in southeast Montana could pick up some showers Wednesday night through Thursday.
