Q2 Weather: Dry, windy and warmer weather ahead

BILLINGS — A pre-winter taste of fall.

Ahead of winter’s arrival next Saturday, we’ll enjoy some fall-like weather.

Drier weather moves into the northern Rockies and northern plains Monday through much of next week.

Afternoon highs will edge into the 40s by Tuesday, and into the low 50s by next weekend.

Tightening pressure gradients will produce gusty winds at times mainly west of Billings tonight and Monday.

By Monday night, winds up to 25 mph will move into the Billings area for a day or so.

The forecast for Billings

Tonight: Mostly clear, southwest winds 5 to 15 mph and a low of 19.

Monday: Sunny with west winds 10 to 20 mph and a high of 36.

Monday night: Becoming cloudy with southwest winds 15 to 25 mph and a low of 21.

Tuesday: Sunny, windy and warmer with a high of 41.
