Q2 Weather: Flurries Monday night in Billings, colder air later this week

BILLINGS — Gusty winds returned to much of south central and southeastern Montana Monday.

As the high wind warning from Harlowton to Big Timber expired Monday evening, the wind advisory for the Livingston area remains in effect through 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Sustained winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph are expected in the advisory areas.

An advancing cold front will bring scattered snow showers mostly east and north of Billings Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, daytime high temps will remain above average through Wednesday.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of snow showers, southwest winds 10 to 20 mph and a low of 30.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with southwest winds 10 to 20 mph and a high of 46.

Tuesday night: Mostly cloudy with a low of 31.

Wednesday: Partly sunny and warm with a high of 47.
